Join Laurie for a full day class to make this cute Sallie Tomato handbag! Kit included with the purchase of the class. Your kit will include the pattern, beautiful hardware, and a zipper tape that will give you enough zipper pulls to make several bags. FABRIC NOT INCLUDED! You will Learn bag construction and how to install a recessed zipper.
This is a full day class. In order to ensure you have time to complete your bag, please arrive early enough to have your sewing work station set up and ready to begin promptly at 10:30. We will stop for a few minutes for lunch. It is highly recommended you bring your lunch, bring some nutritious snacks, and plenty of water or liquid to stay hydrated. It's so much more fun to spend a day sewing when you have energy to concentrate.
In addition to the kit, you will need to bring the following supplies:
- Sewing machine
- Fabric scissors
- Thread to match fabric
- sewing clips or pins
- Double sided tape
- Freezer paper (for tracing pattern pieces)
- Fabric marking tool
Materials Required:
- 3/4 yard 44” wide quilting or home decor weight exterior fabric
- 1 yard 44” wide quilting weight lining fabric
- 1/3 yard quilting weight contrasting fabric (for contrast flap, gusset and straps)
- 1 1/3 yards fusible woven interfacing (Pellon Shapeflex SF101)
- 5/8 yard fusible fleece interfacing (Pellon Thermolam Plus)
